He needs to be home. That is always something he has held dear- far more than I ever have, as much as I adore being with you both.

[He nods. It makes sense, even if his heart hurts knowing there is turmoil between them.

But there has always been a history between them he will never be part of. Not as a lover, a husband, a friend or a fellow Hero. A deeper understanding hand in hand with a dark gulf- both sides of their relationship hidden from him.

It makes him feel a little lonely, sometimes. But also he knows him being outside it means he can be the rock both of them often need. It's a duty he accepts fully.]

Of course... do not think for a moment I would turn from you simply because Vanilla has returned. We... have our own bonds now, do we not?

[This past few months have been hard, but they have been special too.]

I would never presume that of you. You do not love in half-measures. I don't think you know how.

( lily shifts and presses a kiss to his temple. )

[He smiles slightly at that. She is likely right- his love is solid and heavy]

Do not apologize. This place seems to detest any kind of peace.

Once things settle we should go on a trip. Perhaps to the beach? Once it's warm again.

Yes. Yes we will. I am very tired and very stressed and I am so! Tired! Of crying! And we are removing Vanny before he can do anything because otherwise he'll do TOO MUCH.

[He grunts in agreement, letting her down]
