I'm glad. Is there anything you wish me to do in regards to him?

[ He's a healer, but... ]

I warned him away, but... some of what he said... he claimed Pomegranate Cookie used her curse magic to affect his mind. I can not say I believe him exactly, but...

[Well, they've both experienced curses]

[ Ah... That's met with silence as he ponders it. Pomegranates Curse magic... how trapped he became in despair to seeing his loved ones captured and broken. ]

I... If he is telling the truth, I cannot condemn him. Pomegranate Cookie cast me into a deep despair I could only free myself from thanks to my Souljam... I do not know what other curses she may conjure.

She cast a curse on me as well. It is why I commanded him to stay away rather than crumbling him on the spot.

[JUST SAY THAT DC, SURE]

[ Yeah that doesn't even make him frown. It's understandable. His hand gets a squeeze. ]

You made the right decision, my love. If he is still truly loyal to you, he will do good for the Grove. If he is not, he will show his colors again.

[winterfrosting]

That is my hope.

[He squeezes back]

I will try not to give him more thought than necessary.

[purevanillacookie]

I will do everything in my power to help keep your mind free of him, my love. Let him not darken your mind any further.

[That gets a sharp laugh from him]

Plan to distract me then?

Dark Cacao Cookie!

[ The scandalized tone is playful, but the blush on his face is bright. Hilarious, considering they're engaged. He huffs and gently butts his head against his future-husband, a flustered ram. ]

[winterfrosting]

I did not say anything! You are the one with a spicy mind.

[Still, he kisses between those horns regardless]

[ The most offended squawk, followed by a laugh. He takes the Souljam to set it aside to have both of Cacao's hands free, so he can reach out and drag the other into a hug and press a kiss to his mouth. ]

It was your tone!

[winterfrosting]

My tone? You know I have no sense of humor.

You!

[ That makes him laugh again, against Cacao's mouth, skin darkening further. ]

You're horrible!

[winterfrosting]

[Vanilla is getting kisses for being too cute]

Perhaps. But you picked me regardless.

[He's not sure WHY but you can't get rid of him now]

[ Each kiss is returned with a wide joyful smile. ]

And I would pick you again and again.

[winterfrosting]

I am still cross with you.

[But it lacks any fire. How could he when Vanilla was so sweet? He sighs]

Come to bed with me? Tonight has been... exhausting.

[purevanillacookie]

I would not expect you to be otherwise.

[ The question softens him and he nods gently, moving to stand and help Cacao up in return. His expression is absolutely tender. ]

And I you. Even if you are insufferable.

[CUZ REALLY, VANILLA HE SWEARS. He stands, making sure to grab Vanilla's Souljam on the way]

Hmm. Would you truly love me if I was any other way?

[ He holds Cacao's hand and leads him to their room for bed. They both need a long night of rest. ]

Not at all. Vanilla is Vanilla.

[purevanillacookie]

[ That makes him smile, but in a distracted manner, his mind swirling.

He kind of hates who he is, after all. But he keeps those thoughts to himself, his smile strengthening as he squeezes Cacao's hand. ]

Precisely. Into bed, my love, and you keep your hands to yourself, we're not married yet after all.

[ But the smile is teasing and he arches an eyebrow. Cause he's gonna cuddle the Oven out of his fiance. ]

[ It's the morning after prom that Clotted Cream finds himself hesitating in front of Pure Vanilla's bedroom door, before ultimately knocking very politely on it. Even going this far has taken quite a while - and involved sneaking out in the middle of the night to swim in the river, in fact, in a desperate bid for mental clarity.

Luckily, he's quick to dry off. No hint of his sneaking out to be seen. ]

Pure Vanilla Cookie...? Are you awake?

[purevanillacookie]

[ Oh he has been for the last hour or two, but it's difficult to get up when your fiance has you in a vice lock. It's very sweet. He's loathe to move.

He has to pee.

His voice is soft but audible enough as he calls back:]

One second, my dear.

[ Minotaur strength has to come into play as he wrestles with Dark Cacao so he can slip out and replace himself with a pillow, put on a bath robe, then answer the door. ]

Is something amiss?

[clottedcream]

[ Ah, those are some... odd muffled sounds coming from inside the bedroom, but Clotted Cream politely ignores them aside from a brief flicker of curiosity. It isn't any of his business, of course, and he's certain that Pure Vanilla's leg configuration may make climbing out of a bed a little more complicated. He can't quite wrap his mind around how those legs bend.

By the time Pure Vanilla opens the door, he's directed his attention towards a portion of the floor. He turns his eyes back up, clearing his throat. ]

Hm? Oh, no, nothing is wrong. I was hoping that we might be able to talk? I've had... something on my mind, and I would value your opinion.

[purevanillacookie]

Of course, sweetheart. Meet me in the kitchen? So I may get dressed, and so we don't wake Dark Cacao further.

[ The man will sleep or so help him. And once Pure Vanilla is dressed and Cacao is given several kisses to lull him back to sleep - at an arms length so he can't grab him back in with the promise he can come join them if he wakes up - Pure Vanilla will more to the kitchen to make him and Clotted Cream some breakfast.

And some coffee for Cacao in case he does wake up. ]
