[ Oh his love. He drops his hands to fold them over Cacao's holding his souljam still, tightens his grip around it. ]

I swear on my Souljam, my heart. I swear. You will not lose me. I will cure it.

[he nods, not trusting his words. He can not do it again. Loss and treachery and death.

He was so close to giving up once. Another failure will break him.]

[ Oh, he knows. The silence tells him all. He reaches out with an arm to wrap it around Cacao's neck and bring the other into a tight hug. The tightest he can give, like he can merge them together and thus Cacao will never have to worry. ]

Shh. I am here. I will always be here. I love you, Dark Cacao Cookie.

[And he's just gonna rest his face into Vanilla's collarbone for a bit, soaking in his scent and warmth]

[ He's simply going to hold him there, fingers working through his hair and then resting on his scalp, lightly rubbing down to his neck. Where they will squeeze against the tight muscles. Relax him again, reassure him.

He is not planning on crumbling away any time soon. ]

[Eventually, perhaps longer than expected, but eventually, he sits up with a groan]

There is... something I must tell you as well.

[ Vanilla is content to simply hold his love like this for as long as needed, though when he finally sits up, he lets him go. Dropping his hands to his again, moving his Souljam out of the way so he can take them.

Though that sounds ominous, his ears twitching a little. ]

[ No mention of Dark Choco, as Gingerbrave felt it wasn't his place. ]

I see. It seems said advisor, Affogato Cookie, has arrived here.

[ Not that he thinks that Cookie can physically hurt Dark Cacao but...]

[He chuckles softly]

I will admit, your proposal washed away anything I may have felt about it.

[purevanillacookie]

[ That makes him smile a little, reaching up to touch Cacaos cheek. ]

I'm glad. Is there anything you wish me to do in regards to him?

[ He's a healer, but... ]

I warned him away, but... some of what he said... he claimed Pomegranate Cookie used her curse magic to affect his mind. I can not say I believe him exactly, but...

[Well, they've both experienced curses]

[ Ah... That's met with silence as he ponders it. Pomegranates Curse magic... how trapped he became in despair to seeing his loved ones captured and broken. ]

I... If he is telling the truth, I cannot condemn him. Pomegranate Cookie cast me into a deep despair I could only free myself from thanks to my Souljam... I do not know what other curses she may conjure.

She cast a curse on me as well. It is why I commanded him to stay away rather than crumbling him on the spot.

[ Yeah that doesn't even make him frown. It's understandable. His hand gets a squeeze. ]

You made the right decision, my love. If he is still truly loyal to you, he will do good for the Grove. If he is not, he will show his colors again.

[He squeezes back]

I will try not to give him more thought than necessary.

[That gets a sharp laugh from him]

[ The scandalized tone is playful, but the blush on his face is bright. Hilarious, considering they're engaged. He huffs and gently butts his head against his future-husband, a flustered ram. ]

I did not say anything! You are the one with a spicy mind.

[Still, he kisses between those horns regardless]

[ The most offended squawk, followed by a laugh. He takes the Souljam to set it aside to have both of Cacao's hands free, so he can reach out and drag the other into a hug and press a kiss to his mouth. ]

My tone? You know I have no sense of humor.
